Omit/Transmit Orchestra Plays Chicago Psych Fest 2024!

Hello everyone, I have exciting news!

Omit/Transmit Orchestra, a group that I play in, is playing Chicago Psych Fest #14 this Saturday! O/TO is an eight-piece mixed ensemble for electro-acoustic music. We experiment in wholly improvised music—free improvisation for the sake of exploring sounds, concepts, and how they come together to create art. We consist of Charlie (guitar/bass guitar), D (vocals/violin), Hannah Mira (violin/viola), Jason (bass/percussion), Jordan (synth/keys), Riley (guitar), Seth (trumpet/synth), and myself (synth/max patches). We've been meeting in a weekly studio environment since May of 2023, and I'm SO excited to get to showcase what we’ve been able to create together.

We'll be opening for acts Erik Kramer and Jake Acosta, with DJ Sara Gossett opening up the night on the 1s and 2s. Finally, psych supergroup Who Is The Witness?, with assistance from Joshua Abrams (Natural Information Society, amongst other things), will end the night in an exclamation point.
